We’ve been very lazy in Bali for the last few days, we’re staying in a place called Ubud which was once apparently very beautiful and empty but is now full of tourists.
There’s not much to photograph as it’s just full of shops and touts, but I did try to get out and grab a couple. I am enjoying the luxury of nice hotels and restaurants, but it’s going to be time soon to get to Jakarta where we’ll both probably get jobs, hopefully me with a newspaper!

After buying the point and shoot (Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3), I’ve enjoyed not having to cart around the DSLR and lenses. 10x optical zoom and image stablising is quite useful, check out these photos of the Petronas twin towers in Malaysia (do they really not have anything more exciting and full of character to be proud of as their national symbol?!) taken with the Lumix…
