Friendly lads, shot at Sheffield Corporation which I’ve not been to before… a really great venue. Nice to see a photo pit at a small venue like this, makes my job easier!

Dita was promoting the 10th year of something or other at Harvey Nics. It was quite bizarre photographing a semi-naked burlesque dancer in the middle of a shopping mall in the middle of the afternoon with no music or atmosphere.

Fightstar
Can’t stand this band and their ontourage. I was supposed to shoot backstage and onstage, but there wasn’t even a pass for me on the door. I couldn’t care less what their history is as long as they’re good, but they are protected in cotton wool beyond belief. They are supposed to be a metal band, all the metal bands I deal with are always friendly and accomodating. Dealing with Fightstar is like dealing with a boy band. Photographers have to sign unreasonably strict terms to shoot them, we have to earn a living too you know! When I was at Download, I wanted to send Fightstar shots to my agency… I happened to have the PR guy who represents them by my laptop, and despite approving the photos he refused to let me send them to the agency. I just don’t understand this kind of behaviour, who is it serving?
